Kingston Lacy

We took a drive east today and stopped at Kingston Lacey in Dorset for lunch and to have a snoop about. The house is decorated as it would have been a hundred years ago and it does look rather nice. We had a walk round the gardens which of course can't be expected to look their best at this time of year. Parts of the gardens have been illuminated and I'm sure will look quite splendid after the sun has gone down but we didn't stay that long and carried on to our destination in Hampshire. It's Lady Marian's birthday tomorrow so we're taking the opportunity to have a couple of days away.
