This week's test car was an all-electric Tesla 90D. It has a rather large battery pack, that occupies the entire car floor.

The Tesla's range when fully charged is up to 260 miles, although less in winter when heater, lights and wipers consume more energy. But at least recharging is pretty quick at a free-to-use Tesla supercharger, where a 20-minutes plug-in restores half the range.

The dashboard satnav and car systems control screen isn't exactly small ...
