Day 7 of the MASA mission to the third planet

A week ago Mission Control at MASA (Mars Aeronautics and Space Administration) announced that they had successfully landed an unmanned mobile probe on third planet from the sun. The latest press release from MASA states that all of the probe's systems are now fully functional and that it has already transmitted over 37 terabytes of data back to Mars. Early this morning the probe travelled from its landing point towards this enigmatic structure which strongly suggests that intelligent life once existed on the planet. The "clouds" in the sky are a large sand storm, and not water vapour. The evidence is mounting that the third planet suffered a catastrophic change in its climate several millennia ago and lost all of its water. It is now a dry and barren desert. The MASA scientists are now looking for evidence as to why this happened.
