Modern Christmas lights

Our town Christmas tree this year is made up of about 20 balls of lights positioned roughly in a tree shape. I think I like it but I can't quite make my mind up. I do like proper trees.
This morning I got a phone call that every mother dreads. Both Conventboys had been involved in a car accident. They are both reasonably OK apart from bruises, aches and shock but the car is a write-off (thank goodness for airbags!). We don't know the full details yet but it doesn't seem that any blame is being put on either party.
Poor Conventboy2. It was his first car and his pride and joy!
