Out on the Wash

It was nice to take Mrs TT out for lunch today.  We had a meal at the garden centre near the hospital and then drove to the Freiston nature reserve and walked out to the Wash. There were plenty of birds, large numbers of widgeon, redshanks and an egret (see extras). Later in the afternoon we went for tea and cake.  The cake, even when shared between two, almost defeated us!  The grandchildren came round later on to decorate the house for Christmas. I was under strict instructions from Mrs TT to let them have carte blanche.  I am pleased that they were reasonably restrained with the tinsel.
