Eas Mor
The last day of the holiday part 1 began much as the last couple of days, a little dull, but it wasn't long before the sun was splitting the sky again. Unfortunately as we went for our trek up towards Eas Mor (big waterfall) the mist came down across the Cuillin hills once more. Shooting was tricky since the sun was doing its very best to burn through, resulting in a flat bright white sky. Ugh! Once more though, we were amazed by the landscape that presented itself in front of our path. We wandered past the waterfall to be met with the most glorious series of crystal clear pools and small falls originating from the peaks above. A couple of hours passed quickly once again before we decided to turn back. Returning to the falls, the light had improved a little. The rolling mist was hypnotic as it made its way across the peaks once more.
By the time we got back to the car, lunch beckoned and so we stopped off at Sligachan for a bite before continuing on towards Glasgow.
More shooting from and through the car window for Christine as we passed through Glencoe and past the Trossachs and Loch Lomond, our only stop being for dinner in Fort William. The sat nav diverted me through the place of my birth, Alexandria and the northern villages of the Campsie Glen that were the weekend jaunts of my youth with my folks. It seemed to be a bizarre diversion (and still does to be honest) but it brought back some memories which I was able to share with bore Christine with.
For Christine, a three day trip to Islay lay ahead. For me... back to work!
Continued thanks to everyone for their ongoing viewing and commenting. I'm driving towards a complete catch up of my blips tonight, fingers crossed.
