The crib and Nativety, Canterbury Cathedral
Dentist first thing, managed to get there and back on my bike without getting too wet and much quicker than by car as the traffic in town was snarled up again.
A quick walk afterwards and more phoning but to no effect. People who were supposed to ring me back didn't. Even when I rang again they didn't ring back in the "half an hour to 45 minutes" they promised.
Travelled to Canterbury in the late afternoon for a bit of ukulele buying before going to see St Agnes Fountain in the Catherdal Lodge. My Christmas present from Susan and Doreen is a proper, grown up, uke. Much time was spent discussing and trying out various instruments before I settled on a solid wood tenor uke. You'll have to wait to see it.
St Agnes Fountain consists of the incomparable Chris Leslie along with Julie Matthews, Chris While and David Hughes. The come together from their various other activities each year and have done for the last 16 years to play their own take on Christmas favourites. Another group well worth seeing at Christmas if they come around your way.
The cathedral was all lit up and centre stage was the crib which was the obvious choice for today's blip.
