Hi There!

As I was looking out on the back deck today, I saw a pretty little Swallowtail Butterfly darting in and out of the woods as though it was playing hide and seek! I watched it moving about, wishing aloud that it would wander over to the Butterfly Bushes out front....

Within a few minutes of my voicing my desire, the little butterfly headed toward the front of the house. Thinking there was "no way", I grabbed my camera and went out the front door. To my absolute delight, there it was!

*Almost* a perfect butterfly, this one had nice wings. Some of the Swallowtails I have seen look as though they had been through a war! What an awesome treat this was. Although the butterfly fully opened its wings numerous times to display its wings, I chose this photo as it was best suited to show the playful nature of my tiny subject.....just look at that little eye peeking out!!!
