Cutty Sark in Greenwich, London

Have spent a very pleasant day down at Greenwich with friend H. We went down on the river ferry and after a delicious orange mocha coffee went to see the Lady Emma Hamilton exhibition. We had lunch, couple of glasses of pink prosecco with a squid and chilli salad

The boat in the photo is the Cutty Sark. A British Clipper built in late 1860s on the Clyde, it was one of the fastest boats at the time carrying tea and then later wool from Australia.

Caught the DLR home through Docklands and am now snuggled up on sofa for a relaxing night in.

NB one of the bonuses of living in London as one gets older is the free transport - l paid £2.50 for a reduced fare on the river ferry and the rest - trains, buses etc was free - fantastic and absolutely no excuse not to be out and about. Thank you London Transport.
