small village crime

Our neighbour, Danielle, came to the house this morning to say she found the petrol cap to my car lying on the ground. Pierre went out to investigate and it looks like someone has used a screwdriver to force open the cap and then they've siphoned off about 20l of petrol.

We went to the gendarmerie this afternoon to report it. I'm sure it'll not stop it happening again but it felt like the right thing to do.

In other news, I got a gorgeous house coat through the post from my auntie Lou for Christmas :)
