Aiguille de Midi

This photo was taken on our balcony as the sun was setting. This impressive mountain stands alongside Mt Blanc and still holds the record as the highest vertical ascent cable car in the world, from 1,035 m to 3,842 m. I have never been able to go all the way the spire at the top because especially in Summer the queues are horrendous. Although I have done many walks from the mid station back down into Chamonix.
It looks like I need to clean the lends rapido....
