Staffordshire Way, Cannock Chase

A bit of me time.  After yesterday's upturn in Mum's fortunes I decided to give myself a treat first thing today on Cannock Chase.  I was hopeful of either mist or sunshine but in the end got neither.  Despite the sun sitting just behind the band of cloud you can see in the image, the cloud front kept moving with the rising sun and as I sit here this afternoon it is still obscured.

I couldn't make up my mind whether to present this in colour or black and white.  In the end I plumped for mono (the colour version is in the extras - I may as well use them up, only another 13 days to another set of one hundred).  I've also shared another couple of images from this morning.  All conversions were done in Silver Efex Pro.  Don't forget this (Along with the other plug ins) is now a free download from Google.
