Merry Christmas
I finished making our Christmas card today—yes, it’s digital and that’s the way I’ll send it -except for a few who resist that. But you, my blip friends will be the first. I always wrestle with putting photos of us and “where have we been this year” out there…but as I’ve said each year, I quite like seeing this 8.5x11 page in my christmas book and it’s very handy to look at a page to see the highlights of that year. (When were we in the UK last? etc…) I used to tuck it in as the letter (yes always more photos than words) to a handmade card… but now I’m happy to get this much done. (yes, youve seen some of these photos on blip) And I really love to see pictures sent this way from far away friends and relatives —I don’t need the blow by blow of every soccer game or violin concert. :-)
So here you go.. to my special blip friends…it’s hard not to talk about the bad forebodings we have about our new president and how every single appointee he’s made is a step backward..the secretary of the environment doesn’t believe in global warming, for example. H is taking all these courses on how everything on the planet is connected in order to provide sustainable development …. I see us opposing so much of it, it’s so disheartening. maybe that is part of my “bah humbug-ness” this year.
We’re about to go to a condo dinner that one of our neighbors makes every year—
She is an excellent cook and it will be a treat. She insists on doing it all —I’ll just bring her a plate of cookies (extra) the 2 kinds I make —the sugar cookies the kids love and some Swedish Spritz.. I’m so tickled that some other blippers have made these sugar cookies as well after I posted the recipe last year. The granddaughters and I ( and H) made them this year but the grandsons want to also so they’ll be here in a few days to make more!
I apologize for not always commenting or replying —just know that I love this site and appreciate every one of you! I hope your holiday brings joy.
