I am not at all sure that I am totally sold on the idea of local bands providing Christmas music at supermarkets and other centres at this time of year.
On the other hand, it does give the local music groups the opportunity to play in public and along the way, perhaps boost their profile and raise funds.
But often I can’t help feeling that the music could be more cheerful and perhaps instil rather more joyful festive cheer.

Nevertheless, congratulations to the local bands who get this regular yearly opportunity to play to public audiences in the street.
