Ramshackle
It seems a good word to describe this field gate.
Synonyms (I found them when I was checking how to spell it) - tumbledown, dilapidated, derelict, ruinous, rickety, crumbling, unsteady - the list goes on. Why does English need so many words that mean 'on the verge of falling to bits?' Does it say something about us?
The word derives from the same root as 'ransack', to wreck and pillage. Nothing to do with sheep, or chains. A pity, as I imagine a few sheep have gone through here in days gone by.
