EAR'S WHY...
…it's called ear fungus. This one was growing out of the ground near the old cut trunks where I usually find it. There was a type of bracket fungus growing next to it, so I presume there must be lots of old tree roots just under the surface.
We've added an extra day to our Christmas break away, which means I've got to get a move on now as we're going on Thursday and not Friday. I was surprised the hotel still has vacancies at this late stage. I'm off to do some cake icing...
