Today's the day .......................... to forget

I'm just back from doing some Christmas shopping - and I'm totally exhausted.

It all started so well - meeting up with friends over a nice lunch.  Then we all went on our own ways and I set off to pick up a few last minute presents.  It wasn't long before I had lost all decision-making powers - and pretty much the will to live.  How could I have forgotten that you just don't compete with the masses in Christmas week if you can possibly help it?

All I'm fit for now is a slouch in front of the telly and a glass of chilled white .........................
