Seaside Special

We treated ourselves to a day out in Scarborough. It's always a good place to see different birds, although we failed to see a Waxwing and a Black Redstart which had been reported. We did see lots of other birds, including the blip (a Rock Pipit) some Purple Sandpipers, a Peregrine (extra), a Black-necked Grebe (extra), a Red-throated Diver and a Kingfisher. We did have a heavy shower, which was not forecast, and nearly missed two trains, so all in all, it was quite an exciting and eventful day out. I'm ready for my bed now!
