Arlington Cemetery

Simon took me and Susana's parents to Arlington Cemetery today.  A bright sunny day and a balmy 14 degrees. We used the bus to get up to JFK's Memorial and to the Amphitheatre and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier where we were fortunate to see the Changing of the Guard; we walked back to the car. The numbers of grave markers stretches as far as the eye could see - a frightening sight noting how many young lives were wasted in the various wars over the years.
Took the little grands and some of their friends who'd been round to play to the park to burn off some energy later in the afternoon.
