hamper

We're getting ready for heading to Marseille tomorrow. We went into Nyons to get my blood tests done first thing (they do them every month there when you're pregnant) and then we got some stuff in the market.

We ate lunch back at the house and then Chuck and Tracy called with some goodies (including mincemeat and 2 Christmas puddings!!! so delighted!!) and we gave them a Christmas hamper full of homemade goodies, a cookery book, and a good bottle of wine. They're such good friends and have been really kind to us over the past couple of years so we wanted to do something nice for them. We had a cuppa and then headed down to the river with their two dogs. Coquine hasn't had as many good walks recently as we'd usually give her (what with Pierre's crazy hours at work and me being pregnant), so she went mental today with her doggy pals! It was brilliant to see them running about and going mad in the river :)

We spent the afternoon getting ready to go to Marseille tomorrow - packing bags, wrapping presents, cleaning up a bit. I'm a bit apprehensive about being far away from home just now, but I'm sure I'll be fine once I get there.
