Parking

Our little tourist town is once again being inundated with visitors this holiday season. We always forget just how busy it becomes the two weeks of Christmas. Hotels are filling up as more and more planes, buses, and private autos arrive every day. The crowds inspire a number of entrepreneurs including the owners of this vacant lot near the market. The Spanish word for parking (or parkin in this case) is estacionamiento, clearly too long for the small sign that was advertising this nascent business. Regardless, the lot had a couple of cars parked and more were circling the block looking for a space to stop. Let the fun begin.
