Market Transport
I mentioned yesterday how the hordes are invading our "sleepy little fishing village" as they do every time during the holiday season. Today, that translated into the mercado. It was crazy busy! The street leading in and out were jammed with cars, trucks, and buses, all going nowhere fast. The inside was just as crowded with women, men, and children moving at the same pace as the traffic on the streets outside. There were lines everywhere with crowds at every turn. I quickly (as quickly as possibly anyway) maneuvered through the chaos and reached my usual produce vendor, which had this calm scene out front. Mexico celebrates Christmas tonight, so the shopping madness will be over by tomorrow.
