Jump baby jump.
This is Lil in her jumparoo. I sourced it on Gumtree after hearing friends rave about them. I tried putting Lil in it when she was a wee bit younger but she wouldn't really stand for it. Now, however, she seems to love being in it. Her feet barely touch the floor but once she gets up a good bounce she can propel herself up and down whilst giggling her wee head off.
I stuck her in it this morning as I got on with making the next batches of her food. By 9am I had roasted and puréed a butternut squash; steamed and puréed sweet potato, broccoli and cauliflower; peeled, steamed and puréed some peaches. Of course, when it came to lunchtime I gave her the lentil purée I had made up last week and she wasn't having any of it. We had a bit of a stand off until I gave in and fed her a yoghurt instead. I really want to ration her fruit intake a bit until she's happier with vegetables but it appears she has other ideas!
This afternoon we went to baby massage which was quite enjoyable. I'd been before but missed most of the last course due to falling ill with kidney stones so I signed up again. Today we concentrated on feet and legs, which is the one lesson I made last time. It was trickier this time though as Lil is that bit older and is much more wriggly! Still, she seemed to enjoy it and she fell asleep afterwards which gave me time to grab some food.
G's out tonight at a gig so I've got Lil's bedtime routine to do as well. The last time it was just the two of us she cried for 90 minutes before finally falling asleep. I'm hoping that tonight things will be different. Wish me luck!
