Should be all warmth and hydrangeas

So said Kathryn Mansfield of family life. I have been reading in a heritage magazine about the garden in Wellington at the birth home of Mansfield and it fitted nicely with my theme of hydrangeas. I have decided, rather than flit from one subject to another I would try and do several days on one subject to capture its many facets. I may only ever do this once as it may turn out to be boring or too restrictive.

We had lunch at a new cafe up the Motueka Valley called Rabbit Hill. It is attached to a vineyard which had been let go dormant for several years but this couple have rejuvenated it and opened a cafe with lunches and platters. Two of us had salmon, one the venison burger and another the fish and fries. We had a Rabbit Hill pinot gris 2016 as well. All very nice.
Then we tiki toured around Kina, the Moutere, and the wharf before coming home for a nap.
