Peller Estates ice wine and raspberries

We were up bright and early today for a beautiful drive back to Edinburgh in sharp winter sunshine. Once unpacked, we prepared for tonight's dinner party at our house with Jon, Mandy, Katharine, Jack, Vikki and Cameron.

The menu comprised:

First course smörgåsbord: smoked halibut, smoked trout, smoked meats, butterbean and sun dried tomato paté, walnut and beetroot hummus, and vegetable crudités

Main course
: beef stew or nut roast with ratatouille and mashed potatoes

Pudding
: profiteroles and/or raspberries and cream

We also enjoyed a fine selection of wine, including a bottle of Canadian ice wine (blipped) that we saved for a special occasion from our visit to my cousin don_T in Ontario last year.

Exercise today: none for me, but Mr hazelh did 10k on the rowing machine.
