Boxing Day Breather

It was 15 degrees in our part of Aberdeenshire for Christmas Day, and today, Boxing Day, we woke up to a winter wonderland of snow, freezing temperatures and a biting wind. Scottish weather, changeable, like our infamous moods (or is that just me and Dave?). Anyways, boy oh boy did Betty Boo just jump for joy when she saw the snow, bounding and racing, the husky in her powered up to the max at her first taste of Scottish snow, she was doolally. What a difference to the first time she stepped out of the car when she arrived at Easter, cowering and shaking and petrified and now she OWNS us, and the forest and Max.

I multitasked today by eating a truck load of chocolate whilst gutting the house. It was an unplanned but therapeutically ruthless clear out which saw me amass a pleasing pile of unnecessary stuff to drop off at Magpie charity shop next week.

And it is at this time of year that we are constantly reminded of the presence of our nearest and dearest....not least because our diets, consisting solely of Steve's soup, my mum's soup, Brussels sprouts and Christmas dinner trimmings and chocolate for 3 days running, have audible and fragrant consequences for all who partake.
