Earth and Air, Fire and Water

I took photos of some lovely salads while out with a friend at lunchtime, photos of a gorgeous local peach and chive flowers this afternoon, and still later, another series of photos at Lake Padden Park. This is the photo I liked best of everything I shot today.

Yesterday's image and today's are both much more abstract than my usual subjects.

There's something primordial about this one, echoes of starry sky, as well as of wave-rippled water, all held together by the solid mass of that rumpled rock, that I find very compelling.
