Snails anyone?

Looking back through my Blipfoto archive I realise that a high proportion of my daily photo choices focus on food.
Not that I pretend to be a connoisseur of any particular style of menu, although this arrangement of escargot today did set the tastebuds ringing.
Not that snails would be everyone's choice, and for some the very thought of them might be a total turn-off.
I guess I first got to try them in France many years ago, and a bit like frog's legs, are an acquired taste. But so are oysters which are equally regarded as a delicacy.
These were ready prepared, stuffed with garlic butter and it was simply a matter of popping them in the oven for a few minutes.  And yes, I managed all 12 of them.  Mrs F seemed content not to share them.
Christmas is coming, and I am sure there will be more treats like this to whet the appetite before the week's out!
