BROWNIE

Spent the morning cleaning, tidying and hoovering ready for Becky and Mike's arrival.  They got here at 1.45pm.  They had travelled today from Loughborough where they had been staying with Mikes parents for a few days.

First things first - open the Christmas presents.  Then we got ready to go into Newcastle.  We had a table booked at Jamies Italian.

We parked in Eldon Garden car park which is free in the evenings - just a short walk from Jamie's. I had oxtail  lasagne for my main course followed by a brownie with salted caramel ice cream and caramelised popcorn.  So yummy.

Then it was off to the match.  I had bought 2 extra tickets for Becky and Mike - couldn't get two seats beside mine but they were only 2 rows behind. Newcastle were playing Nottingham Forest.

Becky and Mike have been to a few Newcastle matches over the years but have never seen Newcastle win.  Today was different - Newcastle won 3 - 1. 

After the match the traffic was bad and it took us a while to get out of town. Becky and Mike had an early-ish night as they will be running a Park Run at Gibside in the morning.

No time for comments I'm afraid as I didn't sleep well last night and am feeling rather weary.  Hope I can catch up tomorrow.
