The Day After

Boxing Day
Traditionally a day of taking it easy with less preparation and cooking by using yesterday's leftovers.
Quite often I find myself preferring the cold meats, 'bubble & squeak', pickles etc to the traditional turkey but that all came at the tail end of the day.
Breakfast this morning of bacon sandwiches preceded a walk by all seven of us plus Gussie through to Swanpool Beach and ice cream and then on to Gyllyngvase via the coastal path.
Instead of heading home we went off to the Recreation Ground to watch the traditional Falmouth v Penryn rugby match. Always enjoyable even when as today Falmouth lost by twenty points.
Home for the dinner described above before a relatively early night before returning to the treadmill tomorrow.
