Cousins

On Christmas Day Katie was extremely delighted to learn that her much loved cousins had booked to come and watch her this afternoon in the pantomime. Aunty Kay & clan all joined us for the 2pm show of our double show day. Katie comes across to my wing at one point in the opening and she was beyond excited to tell me that she'd seen them. I got a text in the interval that Aunty Kay and Emily had cried through Katie's dances. By the end even big cousin Thomas admitted to a few proud years. Katie's teacher had got her stuff in the wings and whisked her & her friend straight from the finale to go see their families so when I had packed the other kids off, katie was enjoying time with her cousins.

Cafe tea tonight for them all. We've really enjoyed our trips there! The kids love trotting out and the fresh air definitely does some good for the little loons. We got back to the theatre just as the doughnut stand was getting ready. 4 bags of doughnuts later and the kids were on something of a sugar rush for the evening show!
