Beer Tapas
1. Edinburgh again to talk about digital theatre. This time in the rain and at Fringe Central. I meet Gilly at the station and what should have been a presentation planning journey turned into a much needed catch up of epic proportions.
2. Two people turn up. I'm pretty furious but it's directionless fury. That's what happens when shit is free. Anyway, those two folk get a hell of a session and probably got more than they bargained for.
3. So we head to the pub. Nice pub too down past the Pleasance. Wait to you hear...they do beer tapas. Yup, beer samplers - 1/3 pints for a pound and they bring them on this very pretty little tray. The company is lovely and Gilly and Stef let me tag along and crash their party.
4. Then one of those things happens that can only happen during the festival. Stef hears about some tickets going begging for a show tonight. We work out what it is and I get a bit excited. Not so long later we're walking on to the Lyceum for the first preview of the The Rape of Lucrece.
5. I'm only on the bloody front row. Best seats I've ever had at the Lyceum and what I see is gorgeous and I think quite exceptional. I feel very, very lucky to have been in the right place at the right time and witnessed a truly outstanding performance by Camille O'Sullivan.
