Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you all! We joined most of Hong Kong down by the harbour this evening in a huge but very friendly crowd. It turned out the spot many thousands of us thought would great wasn't quite as good as hoped but we still enjoyed the fireworks just with a foreground of palms instead of a backdrop of HK island. There were so many people there the normal 15 minute walk home took over an hour and a half despite a lot of the roads being closed to traffic.
