Big Buddha

and yes it is big - 34m high! Travelled up on the cable car and wandered around the neighbouring monastery before climbing the steps up to the statue. An interesting mix of tourists, monks and worshippers in a location which is a mix of tradition and modern tacky tourist  - there is an "old" village where the buildings are Subway, Starbucks and tourist shops.
