Hello, baby jay

My mummy told me you have peanuts and bread.

Up early to tidy up before my cleaner arrived (we all do it). I noticed this little visitor to the bird table. I haven't seen the older ones for weeks but I was delighted to see this young jay, helping himself to an early morning snack.

I went for a walk in the woods later and couldn't see many squirrels. This one was tucking in, though, high above me

And when a chap had asked me what I wanted to photograph, I had said, "Anything. Well, there won't be any butterflies because there's no sun". Immediately a speckled wood flew down immediately in front of me, as if to say, "What does SHE know !"
