Taken at the Vancouver Aquarium. Saw this tiny starfish, no more than 5 cm big!!

I have always been fascinated by the underwater world. One of my favourite ecosystems is the coral reef. There are so many inhabitants that everything hangs in a delicate, self-sustaining balance. Due to global climate change and ocean acidification, many reefs (and other ecosystems) are quickly getting sick and shrinking.

It has been a long-time wish of mine to see the Great Barrier Reef, and I will finally have a chance to do so in 2017, but I wonder how I will feel when I actually see it...
