Kangaroo Grass

The native grasses have a terrible time competing against the introduced weed grasses, so I was a bit surprised to see quite a few clumps of Kangaroo Grass around the lake at the Belair NP when we took Mish for a walk this afternoon.

You can see why they are a popular landscape grass - very architectural and striking.

Thanks for all your good wishes for the New Year yesterday.  To be honest, in many ways I don't think I could cope with another year like 2016.  The Belair NP has been my saviour right throughout the year.
