Sleeping apple trees

I'm on call today, so far no one has called. In the afternoon while it was dry and bright I took some stuff to the recycling centre and took a picture of this sleeping apple tree. The bright colours are where we tried to graft things to it last year - some of which took hold.

On my way back I went to the local Co-operative to collect an order from the embedded post office. Even though the sigh clearly says that when the shop is open so is the Post Office - see extra - a rude member of staff refused to let me collect anything from them. I've sent the Southern Co-Operative a strongly worded letter and I know feel better, even if won't make any difference...
