Derelict or not?

Happy new year! There were fireworks at the river just after midnight. Nothing as spectacular as you get in countries with more money but that’s not surprising. What was surprising was the number of bars and restaurants that closed at 11.30pm. We thought we’d found a good spot in a restaurant overlooking the river but got chucked out 15 minutes before midnight! We saw the fireworks from street level and there were still people in the traffic jam (see yesterday’s extra) at that time. Then we found a bar that was still open.


Today was a pretty lazy day. A late afternoon wander brought us past this building. The top looks derelict but then further down there’s laundry drying and a man on the balcony. Is Derelict Sunday still running?
