A bright sunny day with a cold wind!  We went to Burgoyne again for a walk, and I took a few shots of tree bark for this week's theme of Bark.  This is from one of the two majestic oak trees that were blown down in a strong wind in 2016.  The tree roots were very shallow.   It's always sad to walk by and see them on the ground.  
The number of colours, textures and patterns in the bark amaze me.  I can see all kinds of things in it:  a couple of owls, a crocodile head, a raven's head, a lizard, a goose....
We passed puddles that were iced over, and I really liked the patterns in the puddle in the extra.
