Finally!

I expected the amaryllis to bloom for Christmas but it decided to wait until New Year.   A friend I used to work with gave me an amaryllis for Christmas for several years, but we don't live close to each other so now we just exchange cards.  I love the flowers though, so I buy one for myself.  I always enjoy the surprise of whatever colour the blooms turn out to be.  
A bit on an emergency blip today because friends are coming over for the afternoon and I didn't have a chance to take any outside shots.
