Literally a  half way house on the road to Albany, AR now boasts a staging stop for weary (4WD) waggoners requiring loos, coffee, chips, toasties and chico rolls and interesting signage spelling (extra).
And yes the plod road police were there, sensibly, pulling in speeders and doing RBTs (the road toll has been awful this year).

A much bigger deal in the colonial days, many of the old buildings are still dotted around and Arthur River played a very important role in the state's colonial development.
