Candle-light welcome
I start back at work tomorrow, so we had planned to make the most of the daylight, get up early and go for a walk today, before tackling some necessary chores.
But it didn't quite work out that way. MrM woke in the early hours to find Louie collapsed beside the bed, panting very heavily. We're fairly certain that he'd had another fit - the vet has warned us that it's likely. There he stayed for the next couple of hours before coming to and staggering to his bed. Neither MrM nor I slept during that time, so it was a late start to the day, and we didn't feel able to leave Louie on his own in the flat.
Never mind, the weather was pretty atrocious - cold and very windy - and we did get several things sorted out. Poor Louie has slept for most of the day, waking only for a couple of brief but necessary trips outside, but he has eaten some freshly cooked chicken. We're hoping for the best...
So, instead of the intended landscape shot, here are three rather lovely re-chargeable 'candles', a Christmas gift from K and J. They're perfect on the mirror shelf in our entrance hall, and provide a welcoming glow for visitors.
