A looooong day
The St Ives lifeboat was called out at 6-10 am today to assist a large fishing vessel with engine failure 40 miles North. With worsening weather it took a while to get to her and by this time a nasty front had come in giving them gusty force 6 winds.
Towing was extremely difficult in the bad weather and eventually a second lifeboat was called to assist and also a commercial tug.
In the end the St Ives crew got back home nearly 12 hours later and all desperately needed a coffee and a pasty which had been prepared ready for them :)
Here is the recovery staring the Cornish Usain Bolt who decided to give directions to the tractor driver in true Olympic style.
