Solace Day 6.

Another crisp frosty morning as we prepared to leave Branston Water Park and the lovely mooring we like so much.   Tatenhill Lock shown in this shot is just a couple of hundred yards from the mooring so I walked up to "set" the lock ready for Solace.

We had a couple of hundred yards of "ice breaking" not something to be welcomed but it wasn't thick and the bottom of the boat is due for "blacking" so any taken off by the ice will soon be replaced.

Having covered the short section of the River Trent we stopped at Alrewas to take on water and Clickychick nipped to the shops.
