By this holy anointing

may the Lord in his love and mercy
help you with the grace of the Holy Spirit.
And may the Lord who frees you from sin
save you and raise you up.

Once a month St. Mary's Cathedral offers the sacrament of the anointing of the sick, which used to be called Extreme Unction and was given only to the dying. Now it's available to anyone who is about to have surgery, who is suffering in mind or body, or is simply old. In other words, everyone. 

As he says this prayer, the priest anoints your forehead and then your hands with the sacred oil. 

There were two priests anointing today, hence two little vessels of oil. In this extreme closeup, the oil seems to glow with spiritual light.
