The day started with us being grateful to the NHS. Our son is diabetic (type 1) and he discovered late on that his insulin pen had gone missing and with his levels rising we needed to do something. A few phone calls (around midnight), a trip to A&E and by 2.30 am all sorted for the night A trip back to the unit at the hospital later in the day and all was sorted for the months ahead. Quick, efficient courteous and free.

The day was then spent defrosting the freezer and finding out what was in there; and beginning the New Year tidy up.
