Remembering

We have, like many others, a family tradition of picking up a small Christmas decoration when we are away. In 2016, we got a small glass robin in Wells Cathedral, and a glass angel in Chartes.

At the start of December I was in Stornoway and pivked up this bauble which will now always remind me of the trip. But, along with the other decorations it now has to be packed away.

Back at work for a day and had to remember all that had been going on before the break. There was lots and we needed to prioritise the next few weeks.

Sadly, at the end of the day I learned of the passing of two family friends known both to my parents' and our generation. For each of them the last few years have been difficult so we remember more the happier times together.
