Heathrow, Terminal 2, 10:07
On our way to the gate to get the flight to Stockholm we passed some rather strange Christmas "trees" and a very reflective table. I was recently rather rude on Blip about Heathrow so in the name of truth I'd better report that Terminal 2 was quiet, civilised, calm, and even somewhat beautiful.
As we came down out of the clouds above Arlanda (Stockholm) Airport we saw that everything was covered in snow. Finally the snow seems to have arrived.
Our next plane was delayed (see HarlingDarling's Blip) so we arrived in Sundsvall nearly 3 hours late. H and G picked us up at the airport and drove us to Härnösand. Earlier in the day there had been a real snow storm going on and a major accident that totally closed the main road for several hours but now it was getting sorted and after a 20 minute stoppage we finally arrived at Rose's where we all ate dinner.
After a delicious meal and much discussion we drove our car home to find 50m of knee-deep snow between our parking spot and the house. 20 minutes of vigorous digging later we finally fell in through the front door. Lots of new snow and minus 16°C - lovely! This is how winter should be.
We had a great time in England with lots of lovely people (including Blip friends) but it will be lovely to sleep in our own beds, where we will shortly be headed!
