Snow - and finally skiing!

It snowed a lot last night and the world is now white again. We skied from the front door down to the nearest lake. Really the snow wasn’t quite deep enough and across the field there was a certain scraping feeling now and again as ski met frozen ground.
However, once on the lake it was perfect going. We stayed fairly near the edge but I’m certain it is now well frozen enough to go out onto, without worries.
The snow pouring down made the world pale and Jan’s clothes showed up very well as a contrast.
